some more variations in the beat would be cool
some more variations in the instruments' rthythm would be cool
the hi-hat thing a bit less loud would be cool
overall noice chill thing, original approach (((((((:((((((((((((:))))))))))))):))))))

this is the future of music! - create 13 sec loop and let listeners imagine the rest of the track in their heads
what is music ?
yup, sounds sinister
there's not much to rate on this thing, really, since this is a banjo solo played throught a keyboard, right
could work as a background music for some game/movie set in dark medieval or something, I personally wouldn't listen to this just like that, like a regular song, sounds a bit empty to me
good luck with your future creations :)
Oh dear. I couldn't possibly re-record this because those little messups make it sound like tongue and this music talks, in many ways really... But I made a lot better ones, I just deal with MS, so it's not always easy to maneuver. http://www.newgrounds.com/playlists/view/18e4a1384b0945fc9122a6353a1f682c I make other genres but I love doing this. It's basically improv work that is done while it's recording. It means I play a track I did not rehearse while recording it. And as I already said I did use a piano keyboard. It has weighted keys however, and is very nice enough to be able to make this sound good. I know it could sound a lot better, but the tongue is going to be hard to re-replicate. Some of it isn't accidental. I enjoy it.
fok that's good weren't you playing this at Let It Roll?
drums/fills very very cool, basses spooky, reminds me Pendulum
only the high end could be a bit cleaner I guess
noice, keep it up :))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
5TanLey gave me a 5 star?
Am I hallucinating?
Is this christmas?

Have I... gotten good?
that surprised me but i cant say i dislike the positive feedback. thanks for the input ^-^
It sounds like there are few notes/chords out of the scale and create this somewhat sinister feel, not sure if that's intentional... though I'm mostly used to nice sounding major/minor progressions
beat is nice, groovy... could use some more percussion elements in the second part
mixing-wise I would boost the sub bass a bit and turn down the pad/s and have drums on top of the mix, they feel a bit overwhelmed, a slight compression on the could also help
good luck with future production :)
Cheers for the feedback! The chord progression is deliberately a bit weird, but I agree I could have added more percussion as the piece developed.

there's not much going on during intro tbh, so I'd make it shorter (by half even) or add some more elements
it has a better groove than your previous songs, the sounds kinda talk to each other, at some sections literally :)
also mix is much cleaner, though the snare thing gets a bit heavy on ears after a while, especially when it hits at the same time as that cymbal, I would EQ the high frequencies more
overall a nice piece, carry on
dood where is the bass? This is just drum and drum.. :) It totally lacks some synth in lower octaves that would reinforce the progression..
as already said, mix could use some tweaking.. at some places (e.g. 0:37ish) you can feel that the mix can't breathe, maybe turn down reverb a bit and think out what should be the first thing that hit your ears and what should more in backround, it all can't have the same loudness
but musically it's pretty good, I like the progression and sound choice
keep it up
Thanks for the review! I am still not very familiar with mixing stuff too much, so I will definitely work on it for my next song!
I think this is more like some kind of electro house, dubstep has a half beat, but whatever
at the start there's some crackling going on, not sure if it's supposed to be there
it could use more hi-hats/percussion, lacks groove a bit
0:28 those chords/rhythm remotely remind Mortal Kombat main theme :) It's relatively catchy
BUT
I don't get the right feeling from bass.. it's like lower bass is completely unrelated to what's going on in high frequencies, so I would work on that
The crackling is intentional. There's HH and plenty of percussion, i just think i messed up the mix. Imo I should've focused on bringing the drums out more, make them give the song beat or something. Didn't think about the low bass thing. Maybe my headphones are giving out after all.
Thanks for the review, as usual.
it distorts when drums hit at some sections, you don't want that in this type of music, go easy with compression, orchestral stuff is all about dynamics
the ending feels like it was cut in the middle of progression, I would end it at 4:29, maybe some longer slow fadeout on that one chord would work
but otherwise pretty cool, maybe orchestral music is your thing :)
Maybe it is my thing :^).
I went a little ham with compression because the drums were SUPER loud when stacked. I'll watch out for it next time.
Thanks for your input :)
